Printing Introduction
Non-woven bags are generally printed using screen printing, also known as "silk screen printing," a common process used by many manufacturers. However, this method is usually done manually. Because it produces an odor, the colors are not vibrant, and the prints are prone to peeling, many new non-woven bag printing methods have emerged. Here, we introduce some of the mainstream methods on the market

Water-based Printing

Named for its use of water-based elastic ink as the printing medium, this method is common in textile printing and is also called printing. During printing, the ink and water-based elastic ink are mixed. No chemical solvents are needed when washing the printing plate; it can be rinsed directly with water. Its characteristics include good coloring power, strong coverage and fastness, water resistance, and virtually no odor. It is generally used for printing canvas bags and cotton bags.

Gravure Printing

Products processed using this method are usually called laminated non-woven bags. This process involves two steps: first, the image and text are printed onto a thin film using traditional gravure printing; then, a lamination process is used to bond the printed film onto the non-woven fabric. This process is generally used for non-woven bags with large-area color printing. Its advantages include exquisite printing, fully machine-made production, and a short production cycle. Additionally, the product has excellent waterproof performance, and the finished product is more durable than non-woven bags produced by other processes. The film is available in glossy and matte finishes, with the matte finish having a frosted effect. This product is stylish, durable, with rich colors and realistic patterns; the disadvantage is its relatively high price.

Heat Transfer Printing

Heat transfer printing is a special printing method. This method requires an intermediate medium; the image is first printed onto a heat transfer film or paper, and then transferred to the non-woven fabric using a heat transfer device. Heat transfer film is commonly used in textile printing. Its advantages include exquisite printing, rich tonal range, and photographic quality. It is suitable for small-area color image printing. The disadvantages are that the printed pattern is prone to peeling over time, and it is expensive.
