The cost of making a drawstring bag is just two sheets of fabric and two strings; the exact cost depends on the price of the materials you buy.
Drawstring bags are simple to make and quite practical. Below, I'll share the method with you.
Materials: Scissors, sewing thread (not too many colors needed), needle, drawstring thread, fabric, ruler, small clips
1. Cut the fabric into two pieces of the same size.
(One piece will be the lining, the other the outer piece.)
2. Sew the two pieces together to form a bag shape.
Note: Leave a 2-3 cm opening when sewing the outer piece.
Use thread close to the fabric to sew the opening closed on both sides.
Note: The lining piece should be sewn slightly smaller.
3. Turn the outer piece of fabric right side out and tuck the lining piece inside.
4. Sew the two pieces of fabric together.
Note: Use thread close to the fabric; sew the edges of the fabric inside.
5. Sew the fabric together along the opening, the distance between the sews being the same as the opening length.
6. Cut the drawstring to approximately twice the length of the bag opening, slightly less; prepare two pieces.
7. Thread the drawstring through the bag.
Use a small black clip to attach one end of the drawstring. 8. Slowly thread it through.
Finally, tie knots at both ends of the drawstring.
